Do we offer both In-person and Virtual Opportunities?
Yes, we offer both in-person and virtual opportunities to ensure accessibility and flexibility for our volunteers. Whether online or onsite, we focus on building belonging in STEM by bridging girls, leaders, and inspiring experiences.
What are the credential requirements and validity?
All volunteers are required to complete:
Credentials will be valid for two years from completion date.
What age groups will volunteers be working with?
Our programs — Innovation Lab and Explorers Club — serve girls* ages 4–12, while our Scholars Circle serves teens ages 13–18. *While we focus on girls, Project Scientist is committed to serving children of all gender identities and expressions.
Who is considered a partner vs non partner volunteer?
Partner volunteers are employees of one of our official partner or funding companies with whom we have a formal partnership. Non-partner volunteers are individuals who are not employed by a partner or funder company and are participating independently.
Will Project Scientist provide training materials or templates?
Yes, we provide comprehensive training materials and resources to ensure our volunteers feel confident and well-prepared for their roles.
