Create Any Space Into Your Personal Lab
A Project Scientist Lab kit will open a world of possibilities for your child and your family! Each lab kit will contain everything your daughter will need to conduct all of the experiments and activities for the weeks she will attend. We have personally handpicked the items in your lab kit to ensure that your girl has the very best virtual STEM summer camp experience. With your kit, you will also receive access to online resources, videos, and experiments for deeper learning for the entire family. Each kit is intended for one child. You will receive one kit per registered child and will automatically receive 25% off each additional sibling registered.
*Project Scientist lab kits will only ship in the U.S., excluding Hawaii. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss other options to participate.
Join Us Live or on Your Own Time!
Take part in LIVE STEM programming every day throughout the week! Our small class sizes tailored by age groups provide girls a personal and intimate learning experience with programming that will inspire and challenge them. Meet scientists and engineers in interactive Zoom webinars and embark on virtual expeditions as if you were there in person! The Project Scientist Virtual Lab online summer camp is a high-touch, hands-on educational experience that brings the magic of Project Scientist to the comfort of your home on your own schedule.
*Events take place in your chosen time zone (Eastern Time, Pacific Time, Midwest Time).
We invite the whole family to participate in our daily camp welcome, STEM Superstar session, yoga, Virtual Expeditions, family trivia, and Parent Club! Only registered participants will receive a Project Scientist lab kit and have access to all programming, including exclusive access to hands-on science with teachers in small classrooms, and Lunch With a Scientist sessions.
A Class for Every Girl
Our students are divided into classrooms that are tailored by age groups to give girls a virtual summer camp experience that challenges and excites them. A credentialed teacher will lead a classroom that has no more than 25 girls to create a personal and intimate learning environment, ensuring that each student is engaged and having fun. Each student will receive a STEM lab kit tailored to the activities and experiments for their designated class. See the class group for your girl below.
Marie Curie Crew — ages 4 to 6
Jane Goodall Squad — ages 7 to 9
Mae Jemison Club — ages 10 to 12
LUNCH WITH A SCIENTIST
Have a (virtual) lunch with women from a variety of STEM careers! Join other local girls with an interest in STEM, and meet accomplished STEM women in an intimate webinar setting. This lunch hour serves as a way for girls to explore new STEM careers, ask questions directly to the experts, and expand their view of the opportunities in the world.
FAMILY STEM TRIVIA
Gather up your family and compete against each other virtually through a series of science questions on the platform Kahoot!™ with Are You Smarter Than Project Scientist? — the trivia game! Are You Smarter reinforces your child’s learning throughout the week while bringing the family together for some trivia fun.
LIVE VIRTUAL EXPEDITIONS
Embark on two virtual STEM Expeditions per week, and see STEM workplaces in action from the comfort of your own home. Virtual expeditions are a good way for students to picture themselves in a STEM workforce and meet and see women thriving in the STEM space.
HANDS-ON STEM & MATH MOMENT
Put your Project Scientist lab kit to work by participating in hands-on experiments and activities. Follow along as our credentialed teachers guide you through each activity in small class sizes divided by age groups.
YOGA / P.E.
Gear up in your comfy clothes as we get active! Physical activity is important to support a healthy body and mind, which is why we implement it in everything we do. Our teachers and partners will lead students through exercises every day throughout the week to get moving.
Each Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, the Project Scientist parent community will come together and have access to a mini education and discussion session with our STEM partners surrounding current STEM topics. Have questions about your child’s education or topic of the week? Ask the experts and see what your child has learned.
