Meet Your Site Director!

Jessica Stellmann
Site Director

Jessica Stellmann is a Geological Sciences Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Southern California where she uses computer models to investigate how the Earth's interconnected climate, ocean and biological systems respond to phenomena such as the tectonic collision of India with Asia (which made the Himalayas!) and massive volcanic events called Large Igneous Province Eruptions.  She also works with USC Dornsife's Joint Educational Project (JEP), a service-learning organization that places undergraduate students in community service positions throughout the University Park community and beyond, as a graduate assistant. Jessica is passionate about science communication and education; in her spare time, she volunteers with JEP's Wonderkids and Young Scientist Programs to support their efforts to increase access to emerging technology and hands-on science curriculum in 2nd-5th grade classrooms in University Park. Jessica has worked with Project Scientist since 2017, and in the past 2 years has served as Site Director for 3 Academy Locations (LMU, USC and Concordia University). She is excited to be returning for the 2020 Summer Academy as the Site Director for our LMU and USC locations.
